Fatal crash in Maple Ridge

RCMP in Maple Ridge are investigating a fatal accident. It happened at 11:50pm Tuesday on the Lougheed Highway at 240th Street, when a car went off the roadway and struck a power pole. Fatal crash in Coquitlam

One person has died in a crash in Coquitlam during Monday night’s heavy rain. It happened at 8pm when a vehicle crashed through the gate of the Coquitlam River Watershd on Pipeline Road. Surrey RCMP are asking for public help in finding a 33-year-old man who has gone missing. Mogomotsi Madisa was last seen in the 13700 block of 107A Avenue at 6:30pm May 11. Police say he’s associated with a 2013 Honda Accord, with B.C. licence plates C T 6 7 1 R. Two people were sent to hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation, after a late night fire in Vancouver. Firefighters were called to a home in the 3100-block of East 16th Avenue just before midnight. By 3am Thursday crews had knocked it down and doused any hotspots. The basement suffered heavy fire damage while there was moderate damage upstairs. The cause does not appear to be suspicious. → Read More
