I originally spotted the massive group of birds of thousands of snow geese on an assignment in Willows on Jan. 31. I was able to pull over to the side of Highway 162 and get drone shots on my way back to Chico. I initially just saw the group on the rice paddy visible from the road. But once I got up in the air I discovered that there were thousands more on additional paddies. → Read More
