Rangers hoist elderly hiker from mountain top; recover body near ADK pond

On Saturday evening, a 70-year-old man from Quebec with known cardiac problems fell ill at the summit of Basin Mountain. Bluetongue virus detected in New York deer for first time, DEC reports
