Man pleads not guilty on attempted murder charges in Carter County

A man charged with seven counts of attempt to commit first-degree murder entered a not guilty plea Monday in Carter County Criminal Court. Kelly Lee Pitts is accused of shooting and injuring two people, including a sheriff's deputy, in a Dec. 16 incident.
